The History of Online Ordinations
The Universal Life Church history is synonymous with Reverend Kirby J. Hensley. He was the founder of ULC and has vastly contributed to making it the leading online ordinations site. Disheartened by the existing religious sentiments in 1959, Reverend Hensley formed the “Life Church” and set out in search of the real meaning of “religion”. After a long deliberation, he decided that religion was entirely a personal matter. A person should have the right to choose his beliefs as long as they did not interfere with the beliefs of any other individual.
The Universal Life Church got its present name in 1962. Reverend Hensley labored endlessly to spread the word of the ULC. His tireless effort has succeeded in making Universal Life Church the pioneer and the torch bearer of online ordinations. More and more people are finding about the ULC and are joining hands in enhancing the number of online ordinations everyday. Today, the ULC has congregations in the United States, Canada and many more countries throughout the world.
Freedom of religion is the main motto of the ULC. You may belong to any religion or belief. In fact, you may not even conform to any religion at all. Being just a good human being is enough to let you get ordained at Universal Life Church. It is the sincere effort of the ULC to ordain every person on earth. We will then belong to the universal faith of brotherhood, sisterhood and peace everywhere. The earth will be a beautiful place to live in.
You can continue to serve any religion or faith even after your ordination. And this ordination takes just a few minutes. It is done at ULC online. Online ordination makes you a Minister immediately. You can then perform any wedding or the last rites of a person without hesitation. To know more about Universal Life Church, you can visit the Monastery.
